County Antrim Paddle Sports Club

We aim to promote and provide amateur canoeing facilities in County Antrim, by providing coaching, competitive and recreational opportunities whilst ensuring a duty of care to all members of the club

What We Do

We train as a club at both Junior and Adult level. Always improving and developing our skills. We also organise club paddles and events in different disciplines, different boats and in different conditions to suit the conditions and the group who are paddling

When We Do It

Our club nights typically begin after easter when we meet on a Wednesday. These run through the spring, summer and autumn with a short break in July. In the winter time the club get together for a mixture of moving water and flat water trips

Where We Do It

We paddle all over Northern Ireland but we would consider our home patch to be, The Lower Bann, The Six Mile Water, The Braid and the Maine Rivers. We also frequently use Lough Neagh.

Who we Are

We are a mixed bunch of people from all backgrounds and stages in our paddling journey. Primarily we are a family based club, but we have individual members as well. We welcome like minded people and anyone with their own equipment

Can I join County Antrim Paddle Sports Club?

We have a member onboarding process but owing to unforeseen circumstances we are not currently accepting new members at this time. Please check back again as this may change in late 2023 or 2024

I'd like to try some paddling, how do I go about it?

We hope in the future to offer a 4 week induction package, allowing potential new members to experience watersports and what it is like to be part of our club. After the 4 weeks are up the committee wil decide if an invitation will be extended for you to join the club.

How much does it cost to paddle?

Paddling as part of club can be free. Once you have your equipment it does not cost anything to enjoy the various water courses in Northern Ireland

Where do you go to paddle?

All over Northern Ireland. Depending on the type of paddling we want to do, we go where the water conditions are most suitable on any given day.

What sort of paddling do you do?

We really are a broad spectrum family club, catering to all sorts of paddling. Touring, white water river running, SUP boarding, competitive racing, we ike to dabble in all discipline. But first and foremost we are a family orientated club
